Hey, you can always brag about it to your friends and colleagues! Plus, it's a wonderful excuse to buy a fez, winged-back chair, and bubble pipe. That's what "book people" do, right?

Are you guys even writers?

First of all, how dare you. Secondly, yes we are! "Designing for Tomorrow: ID in the Age of AI" will actually be our sophomore debut. Our first book, "Ditch Your Life Not Your Cubicle: Become a Freelance Instructional Designer in 7 Months," was written specifically with our freelance community in mind. This time, we're interested in spotlighting L&D leaders like you. We're not claiming to be regular Billy Shakespeares over here, but this ain't our first rodeo either.

Why are you writing a book on this stuff?

We're writing this book because we believe in the power of shared knowledge and experiences. By showcasing real-world examples, insights, and innovations from pros like you, we're creating a blueprint for the future of learning. Our goal is to connect and empower our community while also learning some tips 'n' tricks along the way ourselves! We strongly believe that collaboration is the secret sauce to success. Mmmm secret sauce.

Will I get a name credit in the book?

Yes, absolutely! Any quotes you contribute to our book will be fully and completely attributed to you personally. We're not trying to be the Milli Vanilli of ID over here.

How do I know if I'm the kind of person you're looking to chat with?

If you're an L&D leader at your organization who's curious, forward-thinking, and excited about the potential of AI in the realm of instructional design, then you're exactly the type of person we want to connect with! We're eager to hear from people who are open to sharing their challenges and successes. If you're passionate about shaping the future of ID and eager to engage in a meaningful but light-hearted conversation, you're exactly the kind of voice we'd love to include in our book. Don't worry, we're not gonna grill you.

Is this a trick, scam, joke, goof, MLM, or Ghostface from the "Scream" film franchise?

No, we are not any of those things mentioned above, and we're definitely not Ghostface from the "Scream" film franchise. Can you imagine?? That is just so silly................So, what's your favorite scary movie? Just wondering. No reason.

Here's Who You'll Be Chatting With:

Meet IDLance's Co-Head Honchos, Parker and Andrea.

Parker Grant, Ph.D.

"I believe the best instructional designers in the future will be those who know how to use AI as a tool. To the skeptics who believe AI will replace instructional designers, know this: human ingenuity and empathy will always be required - and - there is a greater need for learning solutions than what we can offer through AI or human IDs."

Andrea Dottling, M.Ed.

"You can’t run from the future, so you’ve got to embrace it! Since robots aren’t the ones we’re designing learning for, human input will always be needed. But what that looks like will keep evolving."

Why did the AI cross the road?

To optimize its path and minimize the risk of collision.

Ha ha ha ha ha....ha?
