Our Co-Head Honchos, Andrea Dottling and Parker Grant, met serendipitously in a Slack community for freelance instructional designers back in 2019. It wasn't our community, but don't worry about it.
Parker was looking for a writer to help with some text message courses, and Andrea knew exactly how to land the gig. As any professional would, she sent Parker a copy of her paper, “Are We Gonna Split Hairs Here? Competing Strands of Eastern and Western Philosophy in The Big Lebowski."
Recognizing her knack for writin' words real good and great taste in movies, Parker offered Andrea her first freelance ID job!
Fast-forward to 2020, and IDLance was born, a testament to the power of friendship, YOLOing, and choosing the path less taken in the name of a cubicle-free existence.
Now, we work as a small, remote team fueled by sweet 'n' salty snacks. Oh, and purpose. That, too.
